The Distribution of Ashes
During Mass, the ashes which give Ash Wednesday its name are distributed. The ashes are made by burning the blessed palms that were distributed the previous year on Palm Sunday.
On Wednesday, March 2nd, Ashes will be distributed at the 8:30am and 1:30pm School Masses and at a 4:00 prayer service and 7:00pm Mass. Read More here

I will take on a new role as Director of Music Ministry at St. Clement Parish in Lincoln Park. January 23rd will be my last Sunday.
