DAMIEN: A ONE-MAN PLAY

Coming to St. Benedict on February 28th: the one-man play Damien by Aldyth Morris. Actor Wayne Messmer channels the powerful and inspirational stories of the challenges that Father Damien experienced while serving the community of the exiled lepers on the remote Hawaiian Island of Molokai in the 1870’s and 1880’s, until his own life was taken by the affliction on April 15, 1889 at the age of 49. Father Damien was canonized in a ceremony at the Vatican on October 11, 2009.

Knights of Columbus Annual Food Drive

The St Benedict’s Knights of Columbus Annual Food Drive will be held this Saturday, November 22nd, from 10am to 2pm. Two Jewel locations: Lincoln and Berteau and Western and Roscoe will have Knights collecting for the Common Pantry. While shopping, please consider picking up a few extra supplies for those in need.
