MUSICIANS WANTED! Become a Cantor, Chorister, or Instrumentalist
We are in search of musicians of all types to become a part of our parish music ministry. Consider becoming a part of this rewarding ministry and sharing your talents with our community.
CANTORS
Cantors lead the congregation in song at Mass. We are blessed to have a very talented group of volunteers who take on this responsibility every week. Cantors should have strong vocal ability and be able to prepare music independently. Cantor auditions are done on an individual basis. New cantors often spend several weeks ‘shadowing’ until they feel comfortable singing on their own.
ADULT CHOIR
The Adult Choir sings at the 9am Sunday mass and all major celebrations. Members must be of high school age or older. The ability to read music is helpful, but all levels of experience are welcome. There are no formal auditions. Rehearsals take place every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm in church (Sept-June). Be sure to join us for our next “Choir & Cabernet” recruitment mixer on September 18th!
INSTRUMENTALISTS
Instrumentalists help to enhance our worship by adding variety and beauty to our music. Instrumentalists should be able to read music at an intermediate or advanced level, and learn music independently.
