Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA)
The Catholic Church is an invitation to a relationship with God and God’s grace that has inspired men and women for centuries to become the fullest version of themselves, to grow in faith personally, and to join a community of believers to worship, serve, and grow in faith with.  The OCIA process teaches the faith through prayer, lessons, discussions, and more. It is a trans-formative journey on the road to becoming a full member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Who should consider OCIA?

The process of Christian initiation is for adults who are...

  • Interested in learning more about the Catholic Church

  • Unbaptized, seeking Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist or searching for spirituality in your life

  • Baptized, but have never received any formal religious education or completed the sacraments of Initiation: Confirmation and Eucharist

  • Married to a Catholic and you attend Mass with them, and you want to share in their faith

  • Seeking something in your life, but are not sure what it is

  • If you answered YES to any of these questions, we invite you to consider joining the OCIA program here at St. Benedict Parish.
