Join Us in Helping the Needy this Thanksgiving!
November has arrived and we are now in the planning for the our annual Thanksgiving dinner for the poor and needy of the community here at St. Benedict Parish Gymnasium.
We warmly welcome you to join us in preparing and serving this special meal. Families and children are encouraged to participate—this is a wonderful opportunity to serve together and spread kindness.
Please help us share this invitation throughout the community. We hope to inspire the next generation of volunteers to carry this ministry forward for years to come. If you have interest in helping plan this ministry in future years, we would love to have you join us.
If you cannot attend in person, there are many meaningful ways to contribute. We are seeking volunteers to cook and prepare turkeys, hams, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and other traditional sides such as corn, green beans, gravy, rolls, and cranberry sauce.
We will need donations for paper goods, beverages and desserts.
ALL AMAZON ORDER DONATIONS CAN BE SENT DIRECTLY TO:
St. Benedict Preparatory School Preschool Entrance 3901 N. Bell Ave. Chicago, IL 60618
We are seeking families and volunteers to help with the following:.
Drop off prepared hot food to St. Benedict on Thanksgiving morning.
Set up and decorate the gym and dining area.
Prepare the food line and distribute meals to volunteer servers.
Serve meals to guests. This is a wonderful role for parents and children—our guests cherish the warm smiles and heartfelt conversations just as much as the meal itself.
Clean up after the meal is complete.
