Serving with the Common Pantry

From time to time St Benedict Youth Ministry will serve at Common Pantry. Common Pantry is a north side food pantry that has been providing emergency food and resources in our community for decades. For the first time in Common Pantry’s 56-year history, they own their building. The building provides dedicated space to serve people in need. The new address is 3908 N Lincoln Avenue. Our New Home – Common Pantry

Common Pantry is walking distance from our parish. On two occasions recently, a group of young people and I have walked there, to serve at the pantry. The staff at the pantry does so much to help people in need. St Benedict Youth Ministry loves to support the Common Pantry any way we can.

We have a bin in our church for donations to support Common Pantry. Canned food, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, grocery items and diapers are always needed. If these items are brought to church and placed in the bin, they will get to Common Pantry. Your support of their work is greatly appreciated.
