Join us on our annual Holy Thursday Pilgrimage of 7 Chicago churches. The tradition of visiting seven churches on Holy Thursday probably originated in Rome. Pilgrims would visit the seven basilicas and pray before the blessed sacrament in each. This tradition has been adopted all over the world, especially in urban areas where churches are in close proximity.

This year’s pilgrimage will visit churches administered by religious orders. Commentary will include the history of each religious order, as well as the history of the churches we visit.

The tour leaves immediately after the Holy Thursday Mass on April 18th (approximately 8:30pm) and will return to St. Benedict for Benediction at midnight. The suggested donation is $15 to $20 and includes a seat on the luxury coach bus, prayer cards, and refreshments. The itinerary will include the following sites:

St. Michael’s Old Town (Redemptorists)

St. Vincent DePaul (Vincentians)

St. Mary of the Angels (Opus Dei)

St. Stanislaus Kostka (Resurrectionists)

Holy Trinity (Society of Christ Fathers)
