This past weekend a group of 7th and 8th graders took a walk over to St Paul House for our monthly visit and BINGO game, with the residents. Before we played regular BINGO we played a game of “Life Experience BINGO” where we asked the residents questions about their past.
Some of the questions were: Did you ever milk a cow? Have you ever gotten a parking or speeding ticket? Do you know how to play a musical instrument? It was fun watch the kids ask these questions and listen to the responses of the residents at St Paul House. After our visit, the kids and I share what we enjoyed most. During our visit this weekend I know I enjoyed watching the kids and the seniors interact. I also enjoy the way the residents reward the kids for helping them watch their BINGO cards. Often the residents share their winnings, which is candy, with the kids.
