World Wide Marriage Encounter (WWME)
Looking for the perfect weekend to bring husband and wife closer together? This is it! The emphasis of Worldwide Marriage Encounter is “communication” between husband and wife, who spend a weekend together, away from the distractions and tensions of everyday life and concentrate on each other. Couples who make WWME weekends rediscover the joy, intimacy and romance in their relationships. It’s not a retreat, nor a marriage clinic, nor a sensitivity group. It’s a unique approach aimed at revitalizing Christian Marriage. This is a time for you and your spouse to be alone together, to rediscover each other. Every marriage deserves that kind of attention! Rediscover the spark that was there on your wedding day and the best friend you had when you were first married! Join the millions of couples worldwide who have learned how to keep their marriage vibrant and alive. Contact: Kris & Jim McCulloch, (630) 577-0778, jkmcculloch945@sbcglobal.
Retrouvaille…A Lifeline for Marriages
The word Retrouvaille(re-tro-vi with a long i.) is a French word meaning rediscovery. This program helps couples heal and renew their marriages and offers tools needed to rediscover a loving marriage relationship. Do you feel lost, alone or bored in your marriage? Are you frustrated, hurt or angry with your spouse? Are you constantly fighting? Have you thought about separation or divorce? Does talking about it only make it worse? Thousands of couples headed for cold, unloving relationships have successfully overcome their marriage problems by attending the program. Some couples come during the initial signs of a marriage problem and others are in a state of despair. The Retrouvaille Program consists of a weekend experience combined with a series of 6 post-weekend sessions. The tools learned here will help put your marriage in order again. The main emphasis of the program is on communication between husband and wife and will give you the opportunity to rediscover each other as well as examine your lives together in a new, positive way. Contact: Robin & Phil Kain, (773) 544-0498, email@example.com
Phil and Robin Kain reside in the Roscoe Village neighborhood of Chicago. They have 3 children and attend St. Benedict's Catholic Church. They are passionate about the Retrouvaille ministry and presenting weekends in the United States.
PreCana & Catholic Couple Checkup
Almost all the personal preparation aspects of Wedding preparation can be handled through the Archdiocese of Chicago. Required for all couples is the:
1. Marriage Preparation class (Called Pre-Cana in Chicago)
2. Catholic Couple Check-up
3. Natural Planning on-line class.
You can register for all three of these preparation processes by going on-line to www.familyministries.org
We are very fortunate to be able to offer the Marriage Preparation Class right here at St. Benedict. (instead of going through the Archdiocese) We can share with you all that information when you come in for the initial marriage preparation meeting that we host monthly.
